Your move is in hand          MOVING CHECKLIST

          We know moving can be a stressful time and we
               want to help. We hope you find this checklist
helpful.
           
            FOUR WEEKS PRIOR TO MOVING

 
*         
Start to pack the things you are unlikely to use before the move.
 
*          Clearly label boxes so you know which room they are to go in (eg: Master Bedroom, Bathroom etc) Also clearly label  fragile items

*          Ensure you confirm bookings if you are using a Removal Company

*          Use food in the freezer
           
            TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO MOVING
 
*          Utilities (eg: power and gas) – contact to arrange supply at The new Address, arrange final readings etc for current location.

*          Telephone – Arrange disconnection at current address and connection at new home

*          Redirect Mail

*          Change address with Banks’ Insurance Companies and for newspaper or magazine subscriptions.

*          Cancel household services such as lawnmowing, rubbish  removal, cleaning  and newspaper delivery
 
*          Organise Home and Contents Insurance. Make sure you note any  interest of a new mortgage provider on the policy and are  suitably covered on and after moving day

*          Arrange for a safe place for pets to stay

              on moving day.
            
*             Make sure you keep essential items such as your wallet, mobile  phone, cleaning  Items, rubbish bags, toilet paper and things for making tea and coffee handy Also make sure bedding and towels are easily accessable for the  first night in your new home
 
    Don’t forget to have a few cold ones on hand to bribe the helpers !
